okay. so today at school...it wasn't too bad. Even the evil 8th grade, once i moved seats and gave major smackdown, dude, they were pretty decent! i have like four i need to watch out for and for now i have them all together near my desk, which was an accident but at the same time they are sort of contained for now and the rest of the class can get work done. it might be better than having them yell across the room at one another. we'll see.
but yeah, i will remain optimistic that each day gets better. and wait til next week when the fun lessons start! Portfolio making is sort of dull and i'm not pushing them as much as i could simply because i think its boring, but necessary for them to have a simple beginning point and also someplace to put their stuff.
so yeah. i played with wallpaper paste paper today. its really fun, i think the 8th graders will like it! i'm going to have them make paper and then bind together sketchbooks and use them. this might be more fun to me than them but its important for them to learn to sketch things out and i dont want to ask them to buy stuff so this is a nifty alternative. we shall see.
omg. so i worked all day and then i closed at the bux. my feet HURT. i was so overtired i fucked up the safe and couldn't figure out for forty minutes why it was 15 dollars over and then i realized there had been a five dollar bill in the twenties. i'm really slow these days! we got out at 1:30. 1:30!! oh man. good thing i have a spider roll to eat and lovely dreams to have....
as for my teacher journal idea. i dont know!! i could make it friends only if i make one, but now i'm thinking maybe i'll just make a filter. sooooo new poll!!
