RennerFest 2012 Film Club: The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things

May 21, 2012 11:50

I'm gonna let IMDB do the talking for me on the summary.

Seven year old Jeremiah is pulled from his foster home and thrown into a troubled life on the road with his teenage mother, Sarah.

I haven't checked this one out yet, but just from the Wiki summary and comments from friends I'm gonna go ahead and slap some VERY FUCKING SERIOUS TRIGGER WARNINGS on this for anyone who's thinking about watching it: this is a horribly violent movie, it deals heavily with drug use and domestic abuse, warnings for domestic violence, child abuse, drug use, violence in general. If anybody's commenting on this particular post, either here or on my LJ, please be respectful and warn in the comments. If that's not a thing you like to do, take that party out of my house, please. Remember, Coffeesuperhero's Garden of Earthly Delights is a place of sweetness and light, so let's all be excellent to each other.

Next up is The Hurt Locker, and that post will be up shortly. A KIND WORD OF ADVICE, RENNERFESTERS: Take a long break between this movie and that one. Do something that makes you happy. Hold a puppy or something.

No idea what's going on here? Check the info posts on either LJ or DW.

This is an open post! Watch and discuss whenever you want.

shadowen for the banner! :D)
