Cover Art: Beginner's Worries (TOS, Kirk/Spock)
For the T'hy'la Big Bang yay!
So, it was initially supposed to be the cover art for a story by someone who, sadly, had to drop out. But their early summary/excerpt instantly grabbed my attention and so I ran with it. It goes as follows:
"If it's not something you enjoy-"
"It is something I wish to enjoy," Spock said firmly. "It is something I have desired, and I find my inability to perform to satisfaction extremely frustrating. I do not wish to disappoint-"
"Spock, don't say that. Please. You make it sound like I'm angry with you. I'm not."
"I am aware you are not. Nevertheless, it is true; I do not wish to disappoint you, and I fear I will begin to do so in future, should I fail to correct the problem."
