I've got a *ton* to write about when I have the time. I had so much fun down in Portland visiting with the Stumptown Guys. They all rock hard core,

For right now, all I'll say is I came home with a 1lb of Ethiopian Harrar (Mao), 1lb of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Grade 2 and 1lb of the Stumptown House blend.

a. Stumptown doesn't fuck around with their house blend. daaaammmmnnnn. That's some good coffee. By far the best drip coffee/regular consumption blend I've ever had. And it should be, considering the coffees in the blend.

b. The Yirgacheffe is awesome. I finally understand why people love a good Yirg. This lot cups out *exceptionally* clean with very little muddling to the sweet lemony acidity. It literally tastes like lemondrops. Sooooo good. I love it in the cafetiere.

c. As usual, I'm in fucking love with this Harrar. I could happily drink 5lbs a week of this. It's so unbelievably blue. Such amazingly warm chocolate and blueberry flavors. Possibly my favorite single origin espresso and definitely the perfect desert coffee/coffee to drink when you want to feel happy. mmmmmmmm. Sadly, I only got a lb of it! I'll have to order some more....

Lastly, this Yemen sounds amazing. The Sana'ani sounds awesome, but oh. my. god. does the Ismaili sound good. I don't know of anywhere in seattle that carries it or even has green samples I could mooch. I've only been able to find it one place online, but it's pretty expensive and I have no clue how good their lot/roast is. mmmm. I'd kill for some really good, skillfully roasted Ismaili.
