I Don't Know Whether To Rant Or Laugh
Not even a week after I returned to the campus, a registered sex offender--who after some research is apparently of the violent variety--left solicitation notes around the dorms (and is rumored to have been spotted on the campus AT NIGHT), the East Coast experienced an earthquake (and a little town with a lot of rickety old buildings is not an ideal place to be), and now we're expecting to get pummeled by hurricane Irene by Saturday.
In all honesty, I could probably not give too much of a damn about the hurricane, and I've dealt with more severe earthquakes in the past. However, the offender is particularly alarming because my college has a particular program where it allows girls young as twelve to live on campus and take classes here with traditional students (it's a women's college). And of course, this particular offender was caught on numerous accounts with child porn. You see where I'm going with this?
...This is a real crappy way to start off the school year.
