I'm waffling on participating in this:
http://nanomango.livejournal.com/. I tried last year, but ended up failing because I couldn't settle on a way to introduce my plot, in addition to having a lot of work to do and helping out the International students get settled (as I lived with a lot of them and turned into a mother hen ^ ^;). Even though I have my senior project this semester, I have a better plot and I'll only focus on getting the pencils done. I'd really, really, REALLY like to start on my comic, but part of me feels that it's better to wait until I have the entire script written, or at least the first volume (even though technically this version is basically a revision of the one I lost, and I already know what's going to happen plotwise. It's just a matter of writing it all down). Not only that, when it comes to my original works, I'm very protective of them. Even though I'm planning on launching a webcomic with this script, I'd really like to see it published in hardcopy format. I'm afraid that if I start releasing information now, either someone will come along and steal it, I'll lose steam and abandon it, or I'll lose the possibility of publishing it.
TL;DR I'm just unreasonably paranoid over something stupid.
But on the other hand, if I start working on it now, I'll get a feel of what sort of medium(s) I want to use on my comic, since I have a good feeling that I'm going to go with the traditional route for the most part and do the text digitally. And I'll be drawing every day, which is one of my goals as an artist.
*sigh* Decisions, decisions....
