THE COFFEE KIT CAFE IS NOW OPEN

Jul 04, 2011 20:31

You're walking down the sidewalk on a hot, sunny day, bored with the monotony of your life. You pause by the stop sign and wait for the light to turn red so you can cross the street. You idly think about what awaits you--another day at work? School? Ugh, how boring--and just wish that you can just get away from it all ( Read more... )

Pick a Spain, any Spain. (All the Spains? IDK just no Prussias he doesn't get on with them. ;A; ) gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 12:05:04 UTC
Pretend for a moment that you are the Kingdom of Prussia (circa 1815, thank you). Now, if you were the Kingdom of Prussia and you just got handed a card to a café by someone who looked suspiciously like your good friend the Kingdom of Spain, only rather tiny and adorable and with kitty features. What would you do?

If your answer is, 'Head to that café in search of adorable things and churros' you would be pretty damn good at being the Kingdom of Prussia, because that is exactly what he's doing.

He stops in front of the building, looking down at the card in his hand, then back up at the sign on the building. This seems to be the place. ...Oh, right, especially since there's that cat-Spain kid. Whom he offers a little wave, before tucking the card in his pocket.

Awww, why~? kitty_tonio July 5 2011, 12:20:28 UTC
Tonio is more than happy to see that Prussia has come to the cafe. He answers the wave with a bright smile and a more enthusiastic wave before making his way towards him, their first guest!

"Gilbert~" Tonio greets him by name, smiling up at the tall Prussian in warm welcome. His ears twitch happily. "You came~" Then he lifts his arms up as if casting the legendary Cheer Up Charm.

"Welcome to the Coffee Kit~!"

Something about other Prussias being annoying and unawesome. XD gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 12:54:41 UTC
Is picking up the staff allowed? Hopefully, because he did just pick up the adorable little Tonio. "Of course I did!" He grins widely, positively beaming at him. "So, what's this café all about, then? I can get churros, right? Please tell me there are churros." Prussia can and will start pouting if there aren't churros. Which will necessitate the use of more than one Cheer Up Charm to cheer him up... or someone rushing to make churros. Either way, do we really want Prussia to be unhappy?

No. No we don't. An unhappy Prussia might go on the warpath as a means of becoming happy, and then there would be no café.

He can't stand himself, apparently. XD; kitty_tonio July 5 2011, 13:06:12 UTC
Well, so long as you don't try to kidnap Tonio it should be fine. He's one of the cafe mascots after all. He can't just disappear.

Tonio is happy enough to be picked up, curling up against Prussia immediately as if they have known each other forever. He nods happily at the barrage of questions. "It's just here." He means the cafe, of course. It just sprung out of nowhere to fulfill his Mun's need for more RP...

AHEM. Back to Tonio! He's now nodding more enthusiastically, beaming. "Of course! Churros for Gilbert!" Spain did promise him churros, yes?

Being ever curious, Veneziano decides to check out the cafe. After all, he can't resist anything with cat ears, and he was feeling a bit hungry. So he follows the little boy inside, after giving him a pat on the head and an ear scratch, and sits down.

Welcome then ^_^ weiss_teufelin July 5 2011, 21:17:01 UTC
Well, Prussia isn't really the type to serve people in this capacity, but hey, there's nothing to do and she figures that if the customer becomes too demanding, she can kick them out. The new guy who sits at a table seems okay enough. He'll be a piece of cake.

And so, Veneziano gets a female Prussia who sits herself on the seat across from him, like she owns the place.

She starts off with a nonchalant wave of her hand. "So, welcome and hi and all that." Her greeting, so awesome! "What can I getcha?"

Veneziano smiles at the pretty face across from him. "Hello! Um, I'm not sure, since everything looks so good! What do you recommend?"

weiss_teufelin July 6 2011, 12:09:37 UTC
Oh gosh, where to begin? Of course Prussia got first dibs on the stuff on the menu! She knows her stuff! Veneziano should definitely take her advice--

"Oh man, everything's good! The cakes and pastries are yummy, but the black forest is definitely the best!" She punctuates this with a couple of firm nods. "You gotta have that with some coffee, not too sweet or too bitter! But if you're wanting something savory I'd take the potato salad... Or the tuna and basil carbonara, if you like it kinda spicy... But the turkey sandwiches are good too!"

--And just try everything!

[ Aaron isn't entirely sure whether to go to this cafe or not, but...what could it hurt? And besides, that little...well, it looked alot like Spain to him, but that little creature was adorable. It couldn't be too bad.

So it's only a little while until he finds himself standing in front of the cafe, glancing around the place. It seemed to be the correct one, and so steps inside, still glancing around a bit until he hears footsteps approaching. ]

[Kyouya has done his homework. He pretty much has an idea of who will come and what they're like. It's typical Kyouya, wanting to be prepared for anything and everything as much as possible. He doesn't like his business endeavors failing after all or at the very least, he'd like to be able to known when to pull out before he is hit with a failure that will take too much time, effort and money to recover from]

[One cannot realistically be prepared for everything, however, and this is one of those scenarios. He has been expecting the Nation known as America of course, probably even two of them, but somehow he just knows that this person before him isn't him. Kyouya always has had a knack for knowing things like this, it seems. Nevertheless, he is cordial, welcoming as he smiles at the newcomer]

Welcome to the Coffee Kit Cafe. You may call me Kyouya. I am the manager. How may I serve you today?

[A customer is a customer, of course]

I don't mind at all~ Also, omg, Ouron that was my high school years XD <3 ingreatdeeds July 6 2011, 18:54:21 UTC
[ Aaron quite easily settles into a polite smile, a habitual glance over the person who spoke to him making Aaron assume someone from the east, though he doesn't bother to look furthur than that (not that he would be able to guess anymore than that in the first place) and his eyes are back up to Kyouya's face. ]

Nice ta meet ya then, Kyouya.

[The Confederate mispronounces the name a bit, and gives him a slightly apologetic smile for it. ]

Mmm, it's hard to decide. Any recommendations?

[Kyouya doesn't mind the mispronunciation of his name. It happens commonly enough] It's of course a pleasure to meet you, though I confess I don't quite know your name. [He may look like America, but he isn't, is he?]

Well, just like any cafe, we serve food and drinks, but since this is a Maid/Butler cafe, there are some added perks for our customers. Are you familiar with the concept of Maid or Butler cafes?

It takes him some time to dissect the words on the card. Reading was never his strong point and he had no intention to better his literacy. However, the card (and the hallucination accompanied by it) had captured his imagination and refused to let go. Alois decided the best way to find what he wanted was by being discreet, which included asking a complete stranger if they knew where the proper location of the cafe was and shoving the card in their face.

After he had gotten the information he wanted he skips towards his new destination, the previous one long forgotten. Already he fills his mind with imaginary monsters and mysteries that may or may not surround the cafe. His curiosity is peaked when he finally reaches the cafe. He'd never been too far from his home, never been to a cafe without some sort of guide. Alois doesn't bother stepping carefully as he examines the place. There was no room for caution as far as he's concerned.

Waah it'd be like Alois in Wonderland XD preussen_ore July 6 2011, 12:40:31 UTC
The damned uniform and bunny ears won't come off. Prussia doesn't know why, but it's driving him insane and he can't take it anymore. He has to get away from the madness that is the Coffee Kit Cafe now or risk something fail and unawesome again. His Mun just loves picking on him. She sucks...

Since the atrocity that he is wearing cannot be removed, he decides to cover it instead. Somehow it's easy enough to find a long hooded overcoat in one of the hallway closets that pretty much covers him, frilly uniform and bunny ears notwithstanding.

The white-haired Nation sneaks down from the roof (where he had stomped back up to after Julchen practically died laughing at him) and around the back to escape out the backdoor. Everyone's too busy up front and he bets no one from the rest of the staff will stop him. All he has to watch out for is the Spanish Empire and knowing him he's probably being distracted by something shiny. Or naked.

And so the Great and Awesome Prussia sneaks out towards the backdoor, using all of his awesome stealth, ( ... )

Alois takes about a minute to fully absorb what he's seeing. It's a man, obviously, but a man in the strangest costume he had ever seen. He gasps and walks around the man, taking in as much of his odd appearance as he can. For a moment, he thinks those ears must be real (but they stuck out way too much to be anything but fake).

"This must be the cafe that little boy came from! You're dressed just as oddly as he was, though the costume wasn't nearly as strange on a child."

He wonders briefly if he was dreaming. Claude was no where to be seen, that kid with the cat ears was odd, and he didn't feel distressed in the least. In fact, he could easily say that he was anxious. He wanted to know what would happen inside the cafe with this white-haired weirdo.

He really doesn't like Alois circling him. He has a feeling that this is how animals in a zoo feel like and he's really had enough people staring at him normally without the uniform and the bunny ears.

"That wasn't a costume..." is his very appropriate and smart reply before he snaps out of it. "This is the back entrance. You should go around to the front so you could meet up with someone who'll serve you." And with that, Prussia starts making his way to the door. Just a few more steps and he'd be free!

After seeing that tiny Spain, Romano was ready to go back home and pretend none of this was happening. WHy did he agree to come to the opening of a cafe? Why was he still going to said cafe even after chiding himself for walking towards it in the first place?!

Romano shook his head and stared on ahead. He had one hand over the door's handle, trying to bring up the courage to go ahead and push it open. But if he did, that would mean being in the same place as a thousand other people he didn't know. And it would mean not getting good food -- ...well, Spain did promise to cook for him (and that bastard, Prussia, but he didn't count). And when Spain cooked, it was usually edible.

After a few deep breaths, Romano pushed the door open and stepped inside the cafe. "Okay, jerk, I walked all the way from my home to this place so the food better be ready."

Unfortunately for Romano, Spain happens to be a bit busy and he can't immediately come to meet him. However, it doesn't mean that Romano won't be entertained. He came to the cafe and of course the cafe's management and staff don't want to disappoint their guests.

"Um... Romano, I'm sorry..." The soft, almost timid voice speaks up from the side and if Romano would happen to turn around a little, he will see where it is coming from. Doing her best not to fidget in her uniform, Liechtenstein has stepped up to greet their new customer. It's a bit hard however, when their preferred Butler isn't available at the moment to serve them. But Liechtenstein will do her best! Good service is always important in any establishment!

"Spain is a bit busy at the moment." Then she offers him a smile, her still cheeks flushed. "But I can be your Maid until he's free." She immediately flushes more at her words. Does it sound forward? Strange? It does! A little. Oh dear... She really has to get used to this Maid Cafe business. "O-only if you want to, of

Romano nearly jumps, his expression gone from sulky and demanding to something more nervous and ashamed. Had he known that Liechtenstein was in the cafe, he would have never spoken as harshly. ...Well, he might have, but not in such a gruff way. Romano fumbles through an apology and keeps his eyes on her face.

Not her clothes. ...Should she really be wearing such clothes? Wouldn't Switzerland be upset? ...Was Switzerland around? Was he allowed to speak to her?!

"I-It's not a problem, since Spain is busy after all. ...I wouldn't mind having you as a mind for now." He can barely keep eye contact with her for very long, as unsure as he was. Besides, she may not like the usual stream of compliments he usually lavished on other girls. He held his tongue and tried not to squirm too much.

She sighs mentally as she watches him speak carefully to her and try not to look at her too long. It's an unfortunate and usual reaction to her. Switzerland may not be physically around at the moment, but it's still like he is. It's times like this that reminds her that she has so few friends, really. Liechtenstein wonders if that will ever change...

She tries her best to force the thoughts away, picking up her smile and bobbing into a cheerful curtsey. Maybe she can start with Romano. "Let's get you a table then. This way please." Then she turns and leads him away towards an empty table.
