Boredom results in greater update frequency

Last night I went into Boston with JAK, G, and some other kids I have not seen in a long, long time (including S, R, and V). We hung out at S's apartment in Fenway, drank a bit, and I got to talk to folks who I had long neglected, much to my own loss. A number of us took the T home around midnight, and I was already in my cups, so to speak, by the time I got off the bus. Had short conversation with my mother before hurrying off to my room. Had longer conversations with various people on either phone or AIM. Note to self: shut down phones and computers when intoxicated - it only gets me into trouble (see below).

Went to my brother's track meet at Too Early This Morning. He ran and hung around with his awkward friends. I got to see my old coaches, and revel in the glory of my high-school-hero days, back when I was a productive member of something. I miss having nice coaching figures in my life, mostly cause Coach M was such a good guy - and still remains so.

Tonight got dinner with MJM, CNK, and EAC. MJM mysteriously had already heard about my activities of the night previous (I forget that everyone in my life is interconnected - mostly by my own doing). We discussed necessary things, including updates on Life in General, and important social issues such as Who From Our HS Class Is Married/Pregnant/Engaged/A Whore? MJM and I then went home and proceeded to watch Four Brothers and war movies with my dad.

I drove MJM home, and encountered the Mystic Valley Parkway. There are several points at which I am sure my Ultimate Mortal DOOM is waiting for me (on planes, outside my door at 4:00 AM when I am home alone, etc.). Mystic Valley Pkwy on a dark, rainy night, is one of these places. I like to drive, well, fast. And I'm pretty sure I will take one of those curves too fast in the weth, and put both my car and myself into the Mystic Lakes.

I have read:
The Horse and His Boy, C.S. Lewis

I am reading:
Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert
On Beauty, Zadie Smith
Prince Caspian, C.S. Lewis

On Deck:
Invisible Cities, Italo Calvino
I Am Charlotte Simmons, Tom Wolfe
Don Quixote, Miguel de Cervantes
My Education: A Book of Dreams, William S. Burroughs
