Entertaining Haruka

Aug 10, 2011 10:26

Yesterday Haruka and I went to downtown Bellingham and I took her to some of my favourite shops--The Black Drop, Michael's Books, Mallard Ice Cream, the asian food stores, the antique shops, Rocket Doughnuts. I had wanted to take her to the mall and WCC as well, but we got a late start and then spent more time shopping than I had anticipated. However, it was an incredibly fun day nonetheless.

Today I had thought about going berry picking, but since the sun is hiding I'm now thinking that a trip to Fairhaven is in order. The Fairhaven farmer's market begins at noon so that will be the goal. We can also explore the big building where the Black Cat is located, and all the cute shops on Harris Ave, the ferry terminal, the train station, and if it doesn't rain we can also stop at Marine park.

Tomorrow evening is a Sunset cruise around Bellingham Bay that Haruka seems interested in. I will need to see about purchasing the tickets and packing a picnic supper. Maybe if the sun comes out during the day we can pick berries.

Thanks for all the ideas they were very helpful. If you think of any more, please let me know.
