Im Yoona has this habit of mumbling to herself at some stage of every conversation between the two of them.
He wasn’t sure if she doesn’t want him to hear what she was saying or it was just another weird (adorable) habit of hers but he found it absolutely, truly, unquestionable irritating. It makes him felt like she was hiding something from him all the time and he sure wasn't liking it.
He tried everything he could possibly think of. When he sees her approaching, he would take off his ear phone and stuff his music player in his pocket before giving her all his attention. He tends to stay closer to her, the closer the better chance he would get to hearing what this younger girl was saying but none of that seems to work.
“I’ve watched the new episode of your drama, you did well Yoona”
He said to her nicely, with the nicest smile, wearing the nicest clothes, with the gentlest tone he could ever force out of his throat but all she did was flashed him one of her “I’m so happy….not really” smile, mumbled something under her breath before walking away quickly. Did he say something wrong? Did he say something she didn’t want to hear? And no matter how much he tried, he has no what so ever clue.
“You look pretty today Yoona”
She put on another “yeah, yeah whatever” smile and compliment him back before pretending that she was late for practice before blabbering about how TaeYeon ‘unni’ would kill her until he would get frustrated and ends up telling her to go on. He needed to leave a mental note to himself from now on, Im Yoona hated being told that she is pretty, cute or something along the line.
Foolish enough of him, he asked his hyung…..
“Hyung, I think Yoona is mad at me”
“It’s probably her time of the month”
What did he really expected from YooChun hyung, he still wonders till today how his hyung managed to ever get a girlfriend.
“You have to treat her with respect, shower her with lov…..”
And just blah, blah, blah. YunHo hyung doesn’t get the question sometime because his hyung's advices doesn’t really do anything but gives
him migraines.
“Yeonnie is never like that, she always put others first but Yoona….maybe she’s stress about the filming but if it was……….”
Yeonnie, Yeonnie, Yeonnie all the effing time and to think hyung was the guy who laughed at other
pathetic
dudes acting like a love sick puppy. JunSu hyung really did used to be his favorite, it’s still sad to think about it.
“What do I look like to you? A love guru?”
It’s JaeJoong hyung, does he really need to explain?
He couldn’t sleep, all he did was turned right and left all night long. He couldn’t figure it out why she was only this way to him and it was literally killing him, also the dark bags under his eyes were getting more and more visible as night passes. He couldn't take it, the way she brushes him off so easily, the way she doesn’t bother to even face him when she speaks. This was getting ridiculous; this was getting out of hands. So he has decided that this wasn’t going to continue, he wasn’t going to let them go on like this. This won't happen again, there was going to be no déjàvu at least not this time.
“Yoona, how do you feel about me?”
He asked keeping on a poker face when really, he believed his heart was going to burst out at anytime. She blinked innocently, almost as if she has no idea what he was really asking. It has been five years already, did she really think she can fool him this easily? How funny.
“What do you mean oppa?”
His eyes slowly widened, he could hear it loud and clear this time. Her sweet voice mumbling those words, she stared back at him in confusion before her mouth fell open in shock. He couldn’t help but smile in victory before grasping her wrist, pulled her in softly before whispering those words he always wanted to say to her.
“I love you too, Yoona"
