Wow. Today is the first day I've been on the computer for almost two weeks, which for me is a long time. Our computer is getting fixed because its full of viruses and such... and so I finally called up my neighbor and asked her if I could use her computer for a little bit. So I've been catchin up on my email etc. etc. Ahh lots of things have been going on.
So this last weekend Wednesday through Monday(Oct. 3) I was on a trip with the Cross Country team to Oregon for the Nike/Jim Danner Invitational. It was SO much fun.
Wednesday we left at 4:30 and drove to Billings, MT, where we stayed in the luxurious Motel 6 (lol). Thursday we drove all day to Cordalane (i know thats not spelled right), Idaho. And we went on a run there, and omg it is absolutely GORGEOUS. You can't even believe the scenery there. I loved it. Then Friday we drove all day again... till we got to Oregon. We got to stay at the Courtyard Marriot on Friday and Saturday night, and it was really nice. Saturday was the meet... the course was really pretty and mostly flat, so it wasn't that hard. It was 5K as well, and for girls we only run 4Ks so it was new thing but suprisingly not bad. It didn't seem hard at all... I took 49th out of 195 in the JV (junior/senior) division. After the meet we got to go tour the Nike Center, that was amazing for sure. Its HUGE, and everything is so kewl. We got to see the pool and the workout rooms there have on site, and the HUGE soccer field... also all the different sections dedicated to different famous people (Stephen PreFontaine, Tiget Woods... etc.etc.) It was really kewl. Then Sunday we packed up and started heading back, stayed in Butte, MT that night and then got into Rapic at about 6 on Monday. Overall the trip was fantastic. It was a really long drive but it didn't seem long at all because all the people that went along were tons of fun and its amazing how close we all got on that trip. Now since we got back we've all been hanging out, its kind of like a big family or something idk. I just like it alot. So ya. that is my Oregon experience.
School is still just school. Nothin exciting ever seems to happen there anymore. The only exciting part of my day is lunch time. Haha the other day I was tired that I almost fell asleep doing Abs in Cardio Fit, so during lunch I went and got a triple shot Amaretto latte. I have no idea what I would have done if I wouldn't have been able to leave and get that. I think I seriously would have fallen over and died.
Ya so I haven't go tto sleep in for like 3 months because XC takes up every single free day. If we don't have school we still have practice and its always at the early hours of the morning. I mean I like cross country and all but its so hard to get up that early day after day. WHICH IS WHY I am super excited for tomorrow because I GET TO SLEEP IN. Practice is in the afternoon, and as it were I don't even have to go because I'm getting a massage. woohoo. double excitement. although I suppose I'll still go for a run... at some point.
Last night I went extreme bowling with a portion of the XC team. That was fun. Cept the DJ really didn't play very good music lol. I think he needed a little bit of help. Also there are some scary people that go extreme bowling. Ick. Oh well we all had fun, and as always gutter balls are my friends BUT I did get ONE STRIKE! so that was exciting news... blah. Also me and Kendra, Sass, and Becca, went to Nick-n-Willys to eat last night cuz Nick was working and we're kewl like that so we went and saw him, and I have decided that their pizza is absolutely positively delicious, and if you have never tried it you most certainly should. (that was a huge run-on sentence.)
Well I think that is more or less it.
Good day.
