Sunday I sat up at Mount Rushmore for 12 hours to see the fireworks... waited all day, anticipating something wonderful. And you know what? It really was spectacular. This Fourth of July celebration was the best I have ever experienced in my life. The whole experience was worth the wait... seeing the fireworks come up right over Mt. Rushmore... right there in the sky above me, was SO EXCITING. You know before this year, the Fourth of July was fun... hot dogs and cheap fireworks, shooting them off at home. And that was all fine, but this year I think I realized that the Fourth of July is more than just fireworks and partying with your friends. The Fourth of July celebrates the independence we seem to take for granted, it honors those who have fought for our country and recognizes that we really do live in the best country in the world. We have so much freedom, and I absolutely LOVED the Mt. Rushmore fireworks and all the things that went along with it. If you have never been up there I encourage you to go next year... its an experience of a lifetime.
Alright enough of that lol. I think you get my point.
I was going to rant about something else but I think thats going to have to wait for another time because I have more important things to do right now.
