So, in the midst of looking for a better job, I went to the office, to talk to the boss about stuff. And, in so doing, mentioned that though I do not have my own car, I have experience driving a company car. And, one thing and another, I am going to be driving one of their cars, rather than riding my own bicycle. It's basically the same job, except for the the exercise. But it also means more hours (and the main reason I was looking was that my hours had been cut, a lot), and probably more and better tips.
And all this happened faster than I was really expecting. Plus, it happened while I was being offered two other interviews.
It's nice to be wanted.
I am sticking with the current gig, though. I appreciate that I have autonomy, to an extent, and a pretty flexible schedule; which is to say, I can get time off when I need it. So, when I manage to get my massage license restored (something else I am working on) I'll be able to schedule my day job around client work. Which will mean, not having to be totally dependent on client work for my daily bread and cat food. A good thing.
Of course, the other reason is that I am blessed tired of riding a bike in the rain.
Leave aside that there are blue skies and sunshine, today. Leave aside, it is a beautiful day, the first really beautiful weather in a LONG time (or so it seems).
