I haven't even kept up with monthly entries. I'm so bad!
My last post was last November. eegad. I'll hit the highlights -
Spent Thanksgiving here in Virginia with dlatimer and the girls. I cooked way too much food for just the four of us!
Amelia turned two years old on Dec 15th. I made her a red fire truck cake, and we had a few friends over to celebrate. She is such a grown up young lady! When you ask her about something she doesn't want to do she says, "oh, no please". Her current favorite song is "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty, and she's going to have a beautiful alto voice as she gets older.
It snowed 20 inches Dec 19-20. We left for Christmas in Ohio two days later, but the drive was fine. We stopped in Pittsburgh on the way, and that was nice.
My grandmother passed away Christmas eve. She had been very sick for a long time, and is now at rest. Both of my brothers were home for Christmas, too, so the entire family was together. Eloise and Amelia made it impossible to be melancholy, so we ended up having a fun Christmas day in spite of everything. The memorial service will be in May.
We rode Amtrak up to New Hampshire for New Year's since it was my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. I'm glad we went.
I started volunteering for the sound board and video monitor duty at church, and am doing that maybe once a month.
February marked my one-year anniversary back at work. I turned 35.
This past week we've started Amelia potty training. She's generally improving, though this weekend was full of way more misses that hits. Today was much better, with only two misses.
Eloise is so wise. She has her own clarity of understanding about the world. She still mopes and whines too much, but she is only 3 for goodnes sake. She turns 4 in just over a week!
I'm getting the paperwork ready for the girls' first dentist visit tomorrow. Wish us well!
