Last weekend was Aunt Dawn's wedding to Jason Kavorik. Yay! Eloise was one of two flower girls, and I was a bridesmaid. Everybody was beautiful, including Amelia in a little matching dress. grilled fennel?

Hey, post the recipe for the salad, my fennel is enormous and I haven't figured out what to do with it before the swallowtails come and eat it all.

Do you grill both the fennel and the tomato or just the fennel?

2 bulbs fennel
4 plum tomatoes
2 Tbs fresh basil
1/4 C coarsly chopped black olives
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 C olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Cut green parts off of fennel and discard or use for garnish. Cut bulbs in 1/2 inch wedges (try to cut through the core to keep wedges together). Cut tomatoes in half. Toss tomatoes and fennel with olive oil, then grill until tender and carmelized. Toss together with remaining ingredients and serve!
