Day 03 | Your Parents
My dad isn't in a big part of my childhood memories. Even now, I'm not exactly sure where he is; somewhere in China, or Indonesia, or . . . Either way, he hasn't been the greatest father figure, but he genuinely cares for us, I know. (:
As for my mom, well, she's stayed strong to keep us going all these years. She has her faults like every other parent, yes, but I love her for her efforts and her sacrifices. Oh, and her humor is wicked. I could, on a good day, look to her for a great pick-me-up.
My aunt's almost like a second mom; she lavishes us with generous treats and gets a bit on the naggy side, but oh I love them all. ♥
Day 04 | What You Ate Today
Half a red bean paste bun for breakfast since I was running late for a studying session in school; roasted chicken rice for a hearty lunch; orange-flavored frozen yogurt for a snack and homecooked dishes for dinner.
Oh, and a truckload of candy!
Day 05 | Your Definition Of Love
I don't think anyone could correctly define the notion of love. It's as tangible and broad as the idea of time, but also as simple as a need or a want.
Being loved isn't always more blissful than loving; it's not wrong to have more heart for an intangible something than a living, breathing person. It's okay to love so much, to let your heart burst with love for every cloud and stranger.
For me, though, to love is to give endlessly. A part of yourself to your lover, or your passion, or your camera. It is when you feel so comfortable in their presence it's almost hazy. When the littlest things catch your eye and your heart still stumbles even after years and years. When the cosmic doesn't seem as important as what you have at this very moment. When passion mellows into memories mellows into forever, that something you still share is love.
I could go on all year about this, but that'd just bore everyone to no end so :'D
