I've been busy all week since Tuesday and Thursday are holidays. I've been rushing some things at work. We're organizing a science symposium for our end of year PR campaign. Many gripes since I'm not the one organizing and my manager is being a silly goat trying to do everything without involving other departments.
Anyway, went hiking at the Forestry Research Institute's trail and it was glorious. I miss the feeling of being back to nature and sweating hard. Will find time to do it again this weekend.
As for my cute little plants, I'm proud to say I have a nice group of culinary herbs which seem to be doing okay for the moment. I wish I could have more time to spare though, so I can turn the small balcony area into a nice little garden.
I've been looking at some planting methods, as I'm a little worried on its survival should I be away for a few days. My basil was looking ill already after I forgot to water it one night. I think I need to repot it. I'm thinking of setting up a sub irrigation planter from the mineral water drums I have for the mini water cooler at home. But they are a little on the big side. Maybe I should get mineral bottles and make it like a window display sort of thing, but I'm still open for ideas.
By the way, I made a sphagnum moss balls out of a plant that looks like a daisy. Looks kinda cute. It's supposed to be a gift for Crys, on her successful job application. Let me see how it fares over the next few days. If it survives, I'll buy a nice plate from Daiso for her to display it at work. :)
My pitcher plant is also looking a little ill. Should I give Tse Yuen a buzz and ask for the number of Jo Kien who's studying them? I don't think it's because of a lack of watering since I'm doing it everyday. Fertilizer or sunlight maybe?
I'm so happy to be gardening again. :) Now what's left are indoor plants. ;)
