*sighs*

Okays, in terms of stress levels, life has turned from one box of cigarettes every 3 days to one box a day. Of course, my housemate/friend Joshr has been smoking the odd fag or two, but still, my stress levels has increased and my only outlet is pretty much sucking on cancer sticks. Unfortunately, the other kind of stick I'd like to suck is inaccessible and hard to find in this sleepy hollow town. :P

As per my last update, I'm now working for the dark side writing pseudoscience articles for an MLM. Which pay quite good. I might be able to afford my own apartment if I continue, but I'm looking into the prospects of more free-lancing opportunities as I want to free myself from the corporate sphere.

On the family life part, I had a row with my family. Mainly because I don't get the acknowledgment from them at all. I mean, I'm forced to go home every weekend to help mom with her catering business, while brother just sleeps. Hey, I'm working 9am-6pm and then tuition classes from 7pm to 9.30pm, and I'm still expected to sacrifice my weekends? To top that off, my boss wanted to bring me out on a company trip on the 3rd day of CNY, and my father blew his top about me not coming home etc. I mean, like I've been working hard for the company, so why not take a few days off on their expense. I acknowledge that the timing is bad, but then on the other hand, we meet every year, whereas my boss rarely brings us out on company trips.

What happened was a complete blowout, and I just didn't go home for CNY and avoided all calls from home. I just need to assert myself. It's so much pain involved. My brother's the one that counts because he stays at home, whereas I'm like just a mannequin. :S Heck, last year they tried to get me to move out of my room and sleep in the living room because it's bad feng shui for my brother, even though he already has his own room and another bedroom area downstairs behind the family altar.

Tuition-wise, the kids have been very disruptive. I've told the parents I anticipate that they will do bad in this exams, but what shocked me was my boss' youngest daughter only got 28% for mandarin. Will be in yelling mode on Monday, I guess. :)
