O RLY?
I'm online tonight, checking to see if my plummeting bank balance has hit the hard brick wall at the end of my overdraft, when I notice something funny; a *second* credit card on my account. Now, I bank with HBoS. The last thing I'm going to be doing is getting a second credit card with them - or, in fact, with anyone - at the moment. So I do what any normal person in that situation would do; I marvel at the cleverness of someone who could steal my identity (I expend quite a lot of energy in keeping it secure), and call the bank to cancel it.
Oh no, the girl insists. That's my new card. "Er..." I begin to say, when she interrupts to explain that HBoS have recently finished their deal with Visa, and so are transferring all their customers from Visa to Mastercard. "Huh?" I successfully say. My new card's been issued, I should cut up the old one, it should be here tomorrow, exact same set-up as my old card, just...a Mastercard.
...has anyone else heard anything about this? trixibell? It just seems like the kind of thing I'd've expected to hear something about a bit earlier than them setting up the second card...
