The results
After waiting for a week, getting the results via a ring-around-the-rosey-ish fashion from a clueless nurse, simmering, and calling for clarification (yay being informed/empowered patient), I finally have an answer as to what's been going on with me.
Essentially, I have pre-hypothyroidism or pre-Hashimoto's disease. My numbers are just borderline enough be considered low. My doctor says sometime, maybe a few years, maybe sooner than that, I will end up with a full blown version of either condition. I'm on the lowest possible dose of thyroid medication for a 6 week trial to see how I feel, then I'm to go in for another round of testing to see how the numbers are doing.
