John rolls over and smacks at the snooze button for the third time. Seven-fifteen looks even uglier on Saturday.
The door inches open, Dean peering around the frame. "Daddy?"
"Hey, buddy. C'mere." John throws back the duvet. Dean clamors up, in, under.
"John?" Mary appears in the doorway, Sam on her hip. "You're gonna be late."
"I'm calling in lazy," he grins, reaching for Sam. Mary sets him in the crook of John's arm, lets John tug her into the bed with them. John closes his eyes, knows that nothing he could dream will be ever be better than this.
