So the reason I haven't updated in quite some time hasn't really been lack of interest, just lack of free time. Really, I should be either studying for vocal pedagogy or sleeping at the moment but I thought I would share a few things. First off, Candide was this past weekend. Thanks again to anyone that came to see it. It was one of the most amazing productions I have ever been a part of. The response from the audience was overwhelming, and I do not think there was one person involved who was not moved. The talent of this school just blows me away sometimes. I could go on, but I'd just get all misty. I'm so emotional these past few days. I think it might be lack of sleep. That and it is also almost time for thanksgiving. Speaking of thanksgiving, me and my favorite nuts Erin, Meghen and Kelly went and cooked a thanksgiving dinner down at the saxophone barn on Sunday. Ok, maybe I just peeled the carrots. I mean, I helped...I tried? The boys were pretty appreciative. Really good pie. I went over to the williams center for a Something Corporate Concert, and then Sunday evening was the cast party. As you could see by my last short entry...that was quite the fantastic time.
I think after all the joy of last weekend this week has just been a time of coming down and trying to get my life back in order now that I don't have 4 hour rehearsals each evening. Let me tell you getting life back in order is not such an easy task. I am really looking forward to going home for a few days, seeing my family...and sleeping...wonderful sleep.
Oh, and just a side note purely for myself, and my total aw and astonishment and pride: I passed my piano barrier! I think there must have been a blue moon on tuesday or something.
Ok, I should sleep.
Until later peaches
