I’m finishing up this application for a public relations internship and I think I’ve got a fair chance, assuming they don’t look too deep into that line on my resume about being the live drummer for the "Like Water for Chocolate" tour and mastering ?uestolove’s old DAT tapes.
Tonight I tried out a new dish, a Brazillian chicken stew called Xinxim de Galinha. It’s mostly chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers, nuts, tomatoes, coconut milk, and cilantro. It turned out very yummy, but my hands were sponges for the herbs, which now reek of cilantro. I’m not sure what happened, I handle garlic all the time, but rarely has an herb or spice ever clung to me with such tenacity.
I’ll die with this smell on me, I know it.
Just like that kid died with the smell of Old Yeller on his hands.
