thanksgiving!
thanksgiving turned out really well this year. i worked in the morning, which was completely insane. eh. the extra money will be good on my paycheck next week though. plus one of our regulars brought us mini pumpkin pies which were completely amazing.
so then i picked up james and we braved the grocery store. then we went to my house and made creamed corn and mashed potatoes and then took them to jessica's house. we ate with jess and her roommate and sandy (my boss), who then left, but then a bunch of other people from my work showed up so we spent the evening drinking and eating more and watching love actually and bill cosby on tv and playing some rowdy games of apples to apples (the best game of all time).
the best thing about my friends from work is that everyone has the same completely offensive and taboo sense of humor that i do. make fun of rosa parks? find the virtues of the KKK? NINJAS WITH AIDS? awesome.
i think james had a pretty good time, and i had a fabulous time. i got to spend the day with all of my best friends around here and it was incredibly chill. it makes me sad that certain things will be changing in the next few weeks, but last night made me really happy to know all these people. it was exactly what thanksgiving should be.
