Recent reading:
Just Finished: Villette by Charlotte Bronte. Still could have done without the Catholic-bashing, but at least it kind of had a point. I'm not sure what I think about it, except that all the men were uniformly awful. Patriarchy sucks.
Currently reading: Lolly Willowes by Sylvia Townsend Warner, which I've been trying to get to for a while. It finally came in at the library, so I snagged it. As a childless aunt of moderate years, I feel a certain connection with Ms. Willowes, and I'm enjoying it immensely, although I think she waited far too long to take her toys off to her own sandbox.
Up next: Depends. Maybe League of Dragons if it comes in at the library soon enough. Otherwise whatever we pick for book club for next month.
