An oral history of Max Headroom. I loved that show when it originally aired, even though a recent attempt at a re-watch foundered on the slow pacing and editing.

I don't generally love April Fools jokes, but I loved this AskHistorians thread on Reddit about the Air Nomad Genocide. Complete with Sozin apologists!
Excellent profile of Tatiana Maslany in the NYT. Only spoilery if you don't want to know that there will be scenes with multiple clones in them. Woops!
I don't have anything to say about the Hugo noms that wiser folks have not said already, but I shall roll my eyes forever. And pet my dog, who even as a sedate middle-aged German Shepherd, has more sense and human generosity than the so-called Sad Puppies.

In other news, I'm now regularly climbing 5.11s. I don't know why, exactly: I'm not lifting weights, I'm not running any more than I was before, but I'm apparently just that little bit more strong. Yay for me!
In other other news, the no-sugar experiment (or low-sugar, anyway) was a success. On the down side, the experiment was a success, and if I want to avoid dealing with weird lightheadedness on a regular basis, I really need to cut most sugar out of my diet. Bah. But it wasn't as hard as I expected to avoid, it's just that I like cookies and I love to bake. Damnit.
