Sorry, Linkspam's been on hiatus while I travel for work.
But I have been reading my flists and RSS feeds and whatever, and felt the need to share this:
CSI: Ankh-Morpork. I die. This could be So awesome. And so awful. Hard to know.

So I ate dinner with someone I know in a purely professional capacity, and our other companion asked her how she knew a certain friend, and she got that look (you know the one), and said, "it's a really really long story but we met on an online community back in 1998," and I thought, "One of us! One of us!"
I could be wrong: she could be someone totally interested in, oh, rare Ukrainian sheepdogs. But I definitely got a hint of fannishness. It was pretty amusing.
And yes, I was totally cool and didn't ask for any details. After all, I'm the one who goes to the wilds of Canada every summer to hang with people I met via Stargate SG-1 apocafic...

When you're sick while traveling, you're sometimes reduced to preparing Thera-Flu by way of the dorky little automatic coffee-makers in the hotel-room, which results in a somewhat espresso-flavored cough medicine. Ergh. Not recommended.

In honor of my heritage:
The Three Leprechauns (Muppets!).
Oh, and by way of
fourteenlines, Glishara has started a sequel to Guerrilla, that long plotty Vorkosigan AU in which Ivan coordinates the Barrayaran resistance against a new Cetagandan invasion; this one is called
Emperor. Three chapters are posted, I can't wait for the rest already.
