The Good Wife is too good.
So when I get good news at work (::collapses in relief::), and none of my coworkers want to go out for a drink afterwards (one of my few complaints about my work environment), I go home and make two Pisco sours in quick succession.
Which makes it hard to squee about The Good Wife.
OMG this show! SO SMART. They're quoting Saint Augustine! ("Make me good, O God, but not yet.")
I love Patty Nyholm. She's simply awesome: so quick on her feet, so shameless and smart. (And OMG I just realized: that's Martha Fucking Plimpton. No wonder she's awesome.)
Peter's finding religion; or not.
"Eli, aren't we living in a post-racial world nowadays?" Heh. I actually really like the way this show addresses race: they do so fairly bluntly, without dancing around the issue.

Oh, man, Nyholm really is shameless. And I just realized they're holding the hearing in the hospital.
Man, Josh Charles. I like him. I know Will's a bit dodgy, but I can't help but like Josh Charles--it's hard to believe he's gone this long without getting much work, while Peter Krause has gotten job after job.
OMG they're arguing rescission. Damn, this SHOW. Not afraid to take on issues of the moment.
And omg jesus they got the father on having lied on his application because he had ONE CIGARETTE on a fishing trip with buddies. And that's enough to throw the case out; the judge holds for the insurance company WTF.
But--we're only 30 minutes into the episode. So.
Oh, that is how we get the Will/Alicia moment. Old law school friends. (Which is, you know. Kind of a thing. Kind of a tight bond.)
OMG she goes back!
But she misses him, and he misses her, and oh, it's probably for the best, but oh.
HAH. And she goes to Peter. SHOW.
And it's morning and Will shows up at the door, which OUCH NO, and then it's about work, and I have to say I LOVE the bit where she's pouring coffee and serving pastry because it sure as hell doesn't look like she's got any makeup on. Just those amazing eyes.
Shit this is a messy situation.
OMG KALINDA IS THE MOST AWESOME. She cloned Nyholm's phone! ::sparkly eyes::
Oh, Kalinda. Do not be poking around into Alicia & Will. Do NOT. Shit! ::winces::
"So, you're my boss. I'm a junior associate."
"But you came back."
"I like work. I like working here."
"We're not going to talk about this. We'll go to dinner in one week's time."
"Please don't end up hating me. I need this job."
"It's fine. We have bad timing. We always had bad timing."
I knew they had a thing in law school.
Oh, lordie, she's pumping.
And kids change everything. And Alicia agrees, with a glance at Will. Yeah. She can't cheat on her husband, not now, not like this.
"You two make a cute couple." Oh, Patty has to twist th eknife, doesn't she.
...and she goes to bed without him. OUCH.
