On rewatching SG-1 episode 112, "Fire and Water"

Mar 13, 2010 00:00

I am less inspired to do detailed comments for this, but:

-- at the wake, Jack pours Sam a beer out of a can. I am HORRIFIED. Dude, at least get the stuff in bottles! Daniel deserved better than to be toasted with bad American lager out of a can.

-- I had thought it was fanon that Jack broke Hammond's car window, but in fact it was true! Oh, Jack. You are lucky you have such a forgiving boss.

-- And when did Daniel have time to accumulate all that stuff in his apartment? Esp. if he was working twelve-sixteen-hour days at the SGC? I have lived in my house for ten years and I don't have that much shit.

-- Janet is totally awesome in this. She even slaps down Hammond once (when he wants to send SG-1 right out again).

-- Oh, MacKenzie. Ew. OTOH, he doesn't actually appear to be completely incompetent in this episode.

-- I am bemused by the fact that Daniel can empathize with the loss of someone who died four thousand years ago.

-- The Oannes may well be the weirdest and least useful aliens SG-1 ever encounters.

-- Cute banter at the end, there.

... so the question is, do I actually watch "Hathor"? Or skip right to "Singularity"?
