Welcome to the world, little Clark August Darwin!

And congrats to M's family.

And SG-1 made me laugh and grind my teeth in equal measure.

And SGA was very amusing. I suspect Sheppard's dorkiness is immeasurable, however.

glad for the good news. and you're right about sg1. as for john sheppard...his dorkiness knows no bounds. i kind of like that about him. ;)

ps. fridge cleaning is one reason to win a lottery so that it can be avoided as much as vacuuming.

And seperis is doing a DVD Commentary Challenge, in which readers comment dvd-style on other people's stories. The community for it is here. I wanted to let people know that anyone who wants to can do a commentary on any of my stories.

I think I already owe you one for Bellum Interuptum, but *rubs hands together gleefully* maybe I can take a shot at another one. HEE!

Well, whatever you do, post a link to that community (and to me)! It'd be cool!

only where Sam caves like a caving thing did i grind my teeth. and only for a wee minute. but then my grinding teeth trigger has a *much* heavier pull than yours.

deeply, deeply immeasurable. /utterlysmitten

See the Sam caving didn't make me grind my teeth because I was naive enough to think they actually had a plan that didn't involve giving a very bad, though sexily voiced, man the code.

Once I realized that no, that's totally what they did, I was annoyed at Sam, but Landry, OMG! It's ok?! It's ok?! The galaxy could implode but you did the best you could, my ass.

I honestly don't think I've had this strong a reaction to this show ever.

I was highly amused by all the Vala stuff, and I was ok with Cam admitting that he totally doesn't have control, because, well SG1 is special. Which is why they shouldn't get away with this shit!

Er...done now. *g*

forgot about that Landry bit, and, although irritating, Landry wasn't *necessarily* wrong. maybe if, and again this was my pov, i'd felt ActualImminentThreatOfDeath to Barrett, then Sam caving *would* have been the right thing to do, and thus Landry's reaction would have felt better, but it was just all, "Daniel? you're back?" "oh hi, Sam"...move on with scene even though guy's been "dead" for a year.

I'm not so sure that caving would have ever been the "right" decision, but I would have been able to swallow it so. much. easier if there had been actual emotion and contemplation in that scene. I don't mean histerics, but, as you said, response to a real threat.

I think my problem is that of the elite, intelligent, experienced person/team making decisions that don't make sense when seen through the lense of what their job is. People make mistakes. But you know me, I prefer there to be obvious consequences for those mistakes beyond just a plot thread.

And then I remember what show I'm watching and who's writing it and I go. Oh yeah! Get over it!
