And now, Phase 3 of Round 4
The first few phases have gone fine, six people in 4.1 and four in 4.2. Phase 3 is completely open: participants - all those who originally signed up for Round 4 - can remix anybody, any story anywhere. As noted in the first post, it’s polite to notify the person you want to remix and make sure they have no objections (and if you should choose another author from Round 4, be sure and honor his/her ‘safe story’ selection), but aside from that the field is clear. You can remix other remixes, unfinished stories, weird fandoms, anything. The 1,000-word minimum still holds; otherwise, enjoy. Once you’re done, post on November 30, following the same guidelines as before.
Yes, three remixes in three months is piling it on, that’s why Phases 2 and 3 are strictly voluntary. This is an opportunity, not a requirement, and the hope is that lovers of remixes will welcome the chance to jump in and have fun.
