I know!!! And not only a BSG nerd (and, boy, how much he is), but a scifi-shows geek! I'd laugh my ass off if he didn't seem so overreacting at some points.

I was talking to someone about BSG once and she didn't watch the show but heard the fans were really hard core and attached to the show (don't know where she heard that may have just been an observation).

Satirists make fun of everything. They don't mean anything by it, its just a way to get a good laugh and not to be taken seriously. If you look around the Onion a little more I am sure they make fun of other entertainment related stuff.
