Tutorial #6--She's a Lady

Sep 29, 2006 13:08

kiki_fan187 wanted me to write a tutorial on how to make this wallpaper.

MADE IN PS CS2

SHOULD BE TRANSFERABLE

STEP 1: THE BASE I started with this picture from Dark Thoughts and cropped it so that it was a 1024x768 of just Roslin. This is what my base turned out to be.

Then I I dupicated the layer and set it to SCREEN 50%

STEP 2:THE COLORING First I added a layer of EDCCCC and set it to OVERLAY 25%.

Then I added a layer of 090029 set to EXCLUSION 100%.

After I added a layer of E7E6BC and set to MULTIPLY 20%.

Finally a layer of F6BEC1 set to COLOR BURN 40%.

Then to darken the coloring I COPY MERGED using CTRL+ALT+C then PASTED and then DESATURATED it before setting to COLOR BURN 28%.

STEP 3: TEXTURES I added three textures all by gender.

First I added THIS texture and set it to MULTIPLY 100%

Then I added THIS to MULTIPLY 100%

Finally I added this THIS set to SOFTLIGHT 100%.

Then take your result and use your good friend COPY MERGED and set it to COLOR BURN 60% with FILL 50%.

STEP 4: THE LITTLE CIRCLES I am addicted to THIS texture. I am guilty of using it all the time.

I used it twice. The first time I set I positioned it in the bottom right hand corner and set to LIGHT 100% and then EREASED THE PART OF IT THAT COVERED HER FACE.

Then I used EDIT-->ROTATE-->90 CCW and positioned it towards the right edge so that it covered the entire edge. I set it to SCREEN 100% and then EREASED THE PART THAT COVERED HER FACE

STEP 5: TEXT Creat a rectangle of FFFFFF and set it to LIGHTEN 30%.

Then I used another smaller rectangle of F12E44 and set it to PIN LIGHT 100%.

Next I typed the text "She's a Lady" in the font PRINT DASHED in SIZE 48.

Next I typed a bunch of random stuff in "Print Clearly" with the spacing between lines at 3pt. I created two different sections of text and tilted the bottom paragraph using EDIT-->FREE TRANSFORM and got this.

AND YOU'RE DONE!!!!

Questions? Concerns? Trials? Tribulations? Problems? Issues? Anxieties? Things that will make you not sleep tonight about this tutorial?

I would love to hear your comments, both good and bad so please feel free to let me know what you think and let me know if you're using my tutorial. It helps me know whether or not I should write another.
