Holy cow spring break was amazing.
-=Sunday=-
We started out at NCState, got to stay at a house with a zip line in the backyard! Sunday we went to their worship service which was very energetic and awesome. We then went to some house and a few guys there had some paintball equipment so we shot around for a little bit, then hit up a park. I kinda stayed behind and tried skating around a tennis court while everyone else was playing kickball, I guess it was kinda anti-social but I wanted to get more comfortable with skating to prep for snowboarding which was 4 days away!!! We finish up sunday headed over to chapel hill.
-=Monday/Tuesday=-
We chilled at UNC:Chapel Hill and did a buncha surveys questioning peoples beliefs and their view of christianity. A lot of people were hurt from previous encounters with Christians, something that I find to be sad :( We also saw an anti-iraq event where students left class at 12 and marched around campus...something I thought was kinda retarded and not very productive. I am more of a realist and find that sort of protest useless and in-effecient. Also I think people used it as more of an excuse to skip class instead of the reason behind it. Oh and the day before to prep for this some girl wearing a cloth head wrap around thingy had an intercom and was talking about the walk out while some students were lying on the ground in front of her with "iraq civilian" on the shirt and red splatter all over. I wasn't sure what to think, but I did chuckle a little at the whole fiasco. Just seems pointless and retarded. Other noteworthy events were the appearence of Gary the campus preacher and a guy dressed as spiderman who was running around. Entertaining campus for sure.
-=Wednesday=-
Spent most of this day driving... in other words I slept. By the end we made it to the hotel and preped for snowboarding the next day. Great fun. Also chilled in the hotels hottub, so relaxing.
-=Thursday=-
We went to surgar mountain in NC and I tried snowboarding. Holy crap snowboarding rocks. I think it is my new favorite sport/hobbie whatever. By the end of the day I was comfortable enough to go down the mountain without falling and able to carve left and right some. I definatly had some nasty falls though. My neck still feels a little tight from one fall where I slid 10 yards on the back of my head. Fun stuff. I miss the mountain so much right now. Looks like the next time I will get to go won't be until next christmas time. Dang it.
