Fic and Art Love (rec): Wait By the River
You should all head over to the Eagle Big Bang comm right now and read the hell out of lallyloo's stunning BB fic Wait By the River! It's a beautifully written canon AU (and omg this fandom will never not need more canon-era fic) that hit all my size-difference!kink and age-difference!kink buttons, and the ever wonderful sibila_cantus has created some truly outstanding art for it here. I could probably stare at her drawings forever and not even notice the time passing!
Yes, I am totally biased since I betaed the fic, but that does not mean lallyloo's story is anything less than amazing.
How do I know it's a great story?
Because I have read all or parts of it at least fifteen times over the course of the last two months or so and I still can't wait to reread it again. It has made me laugh and cry and made me all hot and bothered, it has kept me on the edge of my seat for what was about to happen next, it has made me want to knock Esca and Marcus's heads together and it has made me want to hug them tight and never let go. Most of all, it has made the characters and their emotions come alive to me and it has made me feel and that is the greatest gift a storyteller can give.
