Eeeeeee!! I FINALLY got to watch Jane Eyre last night!! Overall the movie was mediocre, but Jamie Bell - omg you guys! - Jamie was AMAZING!!! His take on St. John Rivers was pretty different than what I've seen in other adaptations of the novel and I loved it!

Argh! This wonderful post makes me want to see it so bad! I somehow managed to miss it during the whopping two weeks it played here in the States, so I get to wait for it to appear on the internet (which seems like it'll never happen, cry) or DVD. I've only ever seen the old version of the movie, and now I may poke around for the BBC miniseries...

Sigh, I need Jamie's St. John in my life!

I don't get why this movie has hardly been released anywhere!! It's like they are trying to keep it secret or something! And yeah I think this is the first time ever where I haven't been able to find a copy online even after searching for months. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME JAMIE WAS BUT THEY HAVE TO RELEASE THE MOVIE EVERYWHERE FIRST.

I definitely recommend the BBC miniseries. I think it was a very good adaptation and Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens were fabulous as Jane and Rochester.

It boggles my mind the internet can't even get a hold of it. THIS IS INSANITY. IT REALLY IS LIKE THEY WANT TO HIDE IT. WHYY?

IKR?? I JUST. DON'T. GET. IT. Lots of up-and-coming actors in a new adaptation of a well-known period drama - WHY ISN'T THIS MOVIE BEING PROMOTED EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME?? AND WHERE DID THEY HIDE ALL THE COPIES OF THE MOVIE?? They are probably buried in a chest at the bottom of the sea, guarded by dragons.

YES THIS EXACTLY! Even Michael Fassbender's in it! Which depresses me even more that I didn't get to see it How is this not everywhere? And when I was going to see it -- poof! Gone! DARN THOSE DRAGONS!

I knowww. I'm kinda meh about Fassbender actually, although I really enjoyed him as Erik in X-Men First Class, but I can't believe they aren't pushing this movie more now that Fassbender is everywhere.

I know though, right? I can't believe a download hasn't surfaced, let alone any graphics really, because of his new popularity at least. lololol. Eventually I hope!

Great art is never appreciated in its own time okay. They're just making sure they've created great art okay. IF NO ONE SEES IT IT CANNOT BE APPRECIATED.

AH. I THINK YOU MAY HAVE SOLVED THE MYSTERY MY DEAR. YOU ARE VERY WISE. IT HAS TO REMAIN HIDDEN FOR NOW SO THAT FUTURE GENERATIONS BETTER WILL BE ABLE TO ADMIRE THE EXTRAORDINARY TALENT OF MR BELL.
