So its been an interesting couple months since I last made a real post. I was doing pretty well at my job. I had written a kind of paper on statistical analysis that was never going to be published. I made a plan to do some research on lungs that had no support from my PIs and I had no idea how to do on my own. So I was spending my days learning a 10 year old programming language and reading webcomics. It was fun for the first few weeks but then got really dull.
I went skiing at Whistler which was great except for the utter lack of visibility and the rain. The rain, by the way, washed away half of Washington and Oregon. Guess its good to live on a hill.
Last week I was sick with something like the flu (wasnt that shot supposed to prevent that?). I had 102+ fevers and felt like crap.
Last friday my PI called me to his office to ask me what I was doing there; 'cause in 3 months I had accomplished nothing. That was true and a fair statement. I was actually hoping I would get fired so that I would have an excuse to do something else. I agreed to work through May though so I will stick it out and maybe I will enjoy it or at least get something out of it.
Then I went and bought a
car! I like it. Though I haven't quite figured out how to drive it properly. Hopefully I can get that figured out before I break the clutch.
So now I'm working with pig lungs in a plethesmograph and measuring things with pressure transducers. I'll get the flux capacitor running soon...
I want to go hiking.
