Pushing Daisies

Dear invadersteven,

I love you and I am in love with you. In fact, I love just about everyone in the world this morning, because Steven convinced me to start watching Pushing Daisies -- and it is ADORABLE. There's extreme cuteness, and goofy sex puns, and the dulcet tones of Jim Dale, and the ever-jowly Ellen Greene, and tiny tiny Kristin Chenoweth. ^_ ( Read more... )

Dude, you watch a lot of TV! We don't have TV, so I download a few of my recurring favorites each week, but unless I make that effort -- I don't stumble upon things. I agree, your taste is fabulous, and should listen to you sooner on this stuff.

The season is approaching where I have to write out my little Post-It of what shows to search for each day. When you start listing them out (and you are the spreadsheet master of media, so you're well aware...) you start mentally adding up all the time you spend watching things, and start weeding a few out for fear of being someone who watches too much TV! But seeing as how we don't have commercials, and actively seek the things we enjoy, versus channel-surfing on lazy nights -- I think we have the right amount:

Supernatural
Dexter
Doctor Who
The Office
Battlestar Gallactica
Eureka
Torchwood
Lost
Rescue Me

And now... PUSHING DAISIES!!!! ^_^

And of course, half of those are ending or have a limited number of episodes coming, so I might be free to find a few new guys. I've been told I should watch Band of Brothers and Friday Night Project. I was told I would like Middleman, and I literally turned it off -- I have such an aversion to ABC family comedy. It literally sickens me. Which is why I was reluctant to check out Pushing Daisies, but you worked your magic, and it avoids all the bullshit I hate about ABC -- so yay. :-)

There's also a ton on Adult Swim I've seen a little of and know I would love more, I just don't spend the time and energy it would take to add them to my repertoire.

(*is lazy*)
