I liked that the movie had that cheesy feel to it because i think your right in that it gave indy that 80's feel. I mean everything was so far fetched that it adds to the humour but that's the way its always been. Totally agree on shia. Ever since i saw a few episodes of that first show of his, even stephens?, i thought he was really talented and kept an eye out for him. Oh god when his eyes first got all watery i almost found myself crying too! It was that intense lol and i never cry in movies.
I wasn't 100% about the aliens. I mean it was cool as far as effects wise goes, but i don't think that it is really an indy thing. But then again i found that they managed to still give it a spin for that era. Kept me interested anyway.
My fave scene was the soda shop scene. Too funny. And i am in love with the time frame. Everything just looked so beautiful, from the cars to the wardrobe. And can kate blanchette get anymore beautiful? I almost felt bad for her charecter at the end of the movie because you'd think that the aliens would respect that quest for knowledge. She makes such a great villain.
I don't want to give too much away so i'll end there. But i'd say that this is my favourite indy and that it's a good popcorn flick :)
