Kind of random thoughts

How do you forgive someone who's hurt you? Who's hurt those closest to you? Do you become the bigger person and rise above it, forgiving whatever happened? Or do you cling to the past, holding on to the anger to keep the rest at bay?

Do you give them another chance, or stay as far away as possible in the hopes of forgetting the whole thing and moving on, getting on with your life? Or does moving on mean forgiving, at least on some level?

I almost miss the days when things were black and white to me. When my biggest worry was how to be popular. When my biggest fear was telling my parents I had a bad grade. When things were just that simple.

It was a lifetime ago, in a lot of ways. But I digress. Doing the right thing isn't always easy, especially when it's not exactly clear what the 'right thing' actually is. In this case, I just wish I knew what the right thing was.

Don't assume to know what I'm talking about, though. Chances are you'll be wrong, even if you think you're right.

what: none of your business, what: deep thoughts
