History is stupid

Anyone else have a problem with school? Stupid professors, or professor is my problem. I've got this 20th century music history class, and it's actually not so bad. The work load is reasonable and the subject matter is easy to relate too because it's recent. My only problem is the professor, well not so much him, he's a nice guy, seems as though he is permanently stoned, but nice. My problem is with the way he is handling this quiz we've got on thursday. It's not that it's worth that much (only like 3.3%) or that the subject matter is incredibly hard, it's just the resources we need in order to learn the material. Basically we need to learn to identify a number of different songs by listening to them, then coment on their stylistic qualities... the style stuff is easy enough, it's just straight up memorizing. But to listen we need to either use this website through the school called NAXOS, or use a cd of the music that's in the library. The school has one copy of the cd and only five students are allowed on NAXOS at a time. Here's the fun part, there are 120 or 130 students in my class all trying to get to the material at once. To make matters worse, anyone who is part of Ottawa University has access to those five spaces and some of the faculty enjoy logging on to it in the am and leaving it open all day so they can listen to the music... so basically it's impossible to get a hold of the music. The final nail in the coffin is that even if i did learn all the style stuff, i have to be able to identify the piece in order to know what to write. Anyone else find this a little ridiculous? I'm not worried since even if i manage to get zero on the quiz, i'll lose out on all of 3% so i could really care less. It's just the principle of it that bugs me. If they want us to learn it, we should at least have a hope in accessing the necessary resources. And that's my rant.
