Synopsis of Senior Year Pt.1
So this is my senior year... and i know like me.. many of you fellow seniors have worried about how this thing is going to turn out.. and if it was going to be everything we had hoped it would be since being little freshmen...
General Observations:
- Year started well, not many fights so far or even group hatred among different social groups.
- Freshman class is not as annoying as we mostly feared.
- WADE HAMPTON WEEK - HUGGGGGGGGGE success... not that we won... cause we didn't.. BUT.. have you EVER seen that school spirit at eastside? Our Charity, Our Enthusiasm was unlike never before... it brought the school together like nothing i've ever seen and it made me truely proud to be an eagle.
- Homecoming '05 - went over amazing, no fights, no problems at the dance, and the week was hyped up and just a great positive vibe around the school all week.
- overall spirit- this year has been incredible.. Lets face it .. eastside has gone through ROUGH times this year.. losing 2 children and a teacher in just this schoolyear has been terrible on the overall morale of eastside.. BUT the way we have hung together, shown spirit, shown the fact that we love being Eastsiders has made this year more incredible than any before.
Personal Observations:
- I have a life this year, and its amazing.. 10th grade i was waaay too wrapped up in my girlfriend.. i'll admit it.. i had no life, 11th grade i was free and trying to find my place.. didn't hang out with many people just cause... i didn't find any group i could fit in with.. i was somewhat a jock.. but didn't drink/smoke/party...
this year... its INCREDIBLE.. i've found a group of sober friends that i've never been this close to any group of friends ever, and i still keep my cool athlete pals... and i have even been known to hang out with the super cool/hott/popular girls of the '06's.. who'd have known.. NOT ME?!
-I am trying to establish an identity at EHS, i want to be remembered. I want to be remembered not only among my close peers.. i want people who've NEVER talked to me to remember me and know that i was an active, spirited, just overall involved kid at EHS.
- WHW - it ended right... i don't think that if we had won we would've had that much support and love shown for our school.. i wouldn't have it the other way and i don't regret any of it one bit. 84K is not something to be ashamed of.. no matter how much someone else raises.
-Homecoming - overall a B+ ha.. i got the dream date of a lifetime, even though there is nothing there im sure... it was still one thing i'll def. remember... having the best date at ehs. The drama wasn't too cool.. especially cause mommy got involved.. but still overall it was a good fun night, something that i got to experience for the first time.
-p.s... i got a freakin TRUCK.. yes.. that was a HUGE highlight of my senior year.
So thats been the year so far.. in the rest of the year i look to make big points about...
- Senior Gallery.. something i have desperately yearned for, for at least 4 years of being in high school.
- WRESTLING SEASON.. def. personally something that will be taking over my personal life for about 3 months.
-senior group picture, and other senior superlatives and such...
-College choices, scholarship options, ncaa options, and financial aid ha..
