Can't stop. Won't stop.
I'm in video gamer purgatory right now. I missed the first batch of Wiis.
I convinced myself that they wouldn't be as popular as everything else because everything I like is so hip and cool and underground.
What a fool I was.
I biked around for an hour in the cold cold with no gloves and got a big blister on my palm. I was hunting down a Wii.
Every single goddamn store in downtown montreal was sold out before 10 am.
Every time I approached a store it was the same story:
- A huddled mass of people frantically bothering the employees.
- About 5 crying francophone children
- About 5 pissed off Francophone fathers who were dragged out of bed at 9 am on a Sunday to buy their little poutine-chompers a Wii
In the end I'm happy that I'm not going to be up all night playing Zelda. At least, I'm trying to convince myself I am.
