I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack
...and as a follow-up, we had our first two shows this weekend and it went really well; except for that damn triangle part in the first act. It's really cool to be playing in a pit orchestra and to actually be playing Gilbert and Sullivan. The other percussionist is a middle aged man who knows nothing about orchestral percussion and i have to keep tuning the timpani for him, even tho he gets most of the good timpani parts cuz he's old. I'd invite everyone to come see the shows next weekend, but seeing how almost everyone who reads my lj is from interlochen and lives 3000 miles away... Margaux's seeing it next weekend so she can tell you all about it.
Speaking of Margaux, I spent the weekend over at her house and we had a jolly good time. We finally got around to watching the Empire Strikes Back, which kicked so much ass. I's forgotten how good it was. I cant wait till episode III!!!! We were so sleepy we barely made it to the end of SNL. Today we just lounged around and did a few things in preparation for the walk-a-thon. Now I really really miss her and it sucks. bleh. But my weekend was fun so I'm happy.
Yes I know it's been over a month since my last post. A few people have begged me to write another entry, some in the form of a death threat (you know who you are.) So I decided to spare you all any further agony and anticipation in wondering when my next entry will be.
Michele, I'd say something like "75 more days!!!!" right now, but I left my watch at Margaux's and it has my day counter in it, so now my future is a confused mess of unknown dates. How are we going to survive! I guess I can just say "Interlochen's like really soon!" instead.
