Oh, and I finally watched some of the things on the Newtype USA DVDs I've been stockpiling.
Cromartie High School IS MADE OF AWESOME. AWESOME.
The Saiyuki: Requiem trailer is hilariously bad, and the dub voices do not help, oh my god. Whoever did the casting should be slapped with fish.
Haré+Guu, from the first episode, seems really cute, and really, really, really crackheaded.
Genshiken is really funny, but that's probably only because A. I've already read the parts the first episode covers in the manga and B. I am a giant nerd. I squawked and giggled at the Laputa ringtone. Eeyes. (And at the very beginning of the episode, which starts off with a fake opening for the manga-within-a-manga/anime-within-an-anime Kujibiki Unbalance, which had me go "wtf?????" for a while.)
I don't think I watched anything else on them, 'cause I kept rewatching the Saiyuki trailer because IT IS SO DUMB (but the leader of the enemy forces was pretty hot! *SMACK*), but... Yeah.
I know I've gotta have more DVDs around here somewhere, 'cause I've got a pretty good amount of Newtype USA issues and I can only recall throwing away one or two DVDs?, but... I dunno. Anyway.
