*randomly beaten upside the head by an Fullmetal Alchemist AU idea*
Featuring Hughes-the-Homunculus (who, despite being a homunculus, remains a giant dork and ends up with five billion different names, none of them really sin-related, 'cause, y'know, they kinda used up all of the sins already, but they include James/Jimmy (a name he comes with at random when he meets Elicia and Gracia) and No Faith (the name Roy gives him when he's not calling him by Hughes' name on accident)), a bunch of darkness and craziness with random cute bits like "Jimmy" somehow assimilating into the Hughes household, and finally ending with many of the characters dead (including Hughes-the-Homunculus), and depending on the version of the ending you go by, either Roy losing his soul/mind/whatever to make Riza-the-Homunculus ('cause he already lost his genitals attempting to bring back Hughes) and a rather greatly confused Riza-the-Homunculus leading the mostly-vegetable Roy out of the ruins of central, or Roy losing his arm and pretty much all alchemic talent or ability that he had to bring back Black Hayate ('cause yay dog homunculus) because in that version he doesn't go (further) nuts and acknowledges that bringing back a human's not so bright, but hey, dogs don't have souls, right? Ending with an epilogue with Roy's posse (or whatever may remain of it) and others recovering in different places, including Resembool ('cause yay lost limbs and parts of limbs) and trying to move on, when either Riza-the-Homunculus and Roy-the-Mostly-Vegetable or Roy and Black Hayate-the-Dog-Homunculus roll into town.
...Or something. I blame Green Day. I've had the idea of Hughes-the-Homunculus for a while now, but the American Idiot CD beat me with the story. Damn you "Give Me Novacaine" and other songs. Also the line "What's in love is now in debt". damn yooooouuuuu.
I'll never do it, because I haven't even finished watching the anime and the manga's not done and etc. and by the time I know enough, I'll have lost interest and half the stuff I came up with probably flies in the face of canon anyway (when homunculi form, where do they form, anyway?) But... yeah, I dunno. Some of the ideas would be fun to draw, anyway. Hughes-the-HomunculusxRoyxRiza-the-Homunculus OT3. Their love is so zombie-ish and vegetative? but wait Hughes-the-Homunculus is dead by the time-- ...oh, nevermind. It'd be weird, though, 'cause Hughes' hair + the pasty complexion afforded to homunculi + the sleeveless turtlenecks all the guy or guy-ish homunculi seem to wear would make him look a little like Greed, and that's just wacky.
...I need a hobby. And to learn the value of copy-and-paste. Typing out Hughes-the-Homunculus and Riza-the-Homunculus every time gets tiring after a while. Oi.
