Fursuits get the job done.
So ok, I got the job. Barring any unforeseen circumstances with my urine test, which should be clean like a hospital bed.
On one of the questions the manager asked, "Describe something that took you a lot of time and effort to finish, and if it was worth it.." Of course I whip out my cell phone and show him the picture of Codex on my background. He amazed! Says it shows creativity and that they are always looking to have employees with creative talents.
That and talking about my film work and building things with my hands as props for cosplay and such really helped I guess. He actually called in a coworker to come look at the pic of Codex :P
So yeah, creating fursuits can impress possible bosses :P
