These are what's wrong with FML. I get an RSS feed of them because they're usually amusing, but sometimes...
"Today, it's my 20th birthday. I recently came home from college to visit my family, after my mother had a stroke a few weeks back. She ended up being the only person who remembered to get me anything. She also thinks it's still 2009. FML"
So your mother had a stroke, so badly that she can't be convinced of what year it actually is. She was still sweet enough to get you a birthday present - and you're upset that everyone else was (likely) too shaken up by her stroke to buy you a present. You don't need presents, dude. You need family, and/or friends, health and companionship. F YOUR life? What about your mother?
