Man In Suit versus CGI
"Destroy All Monsters" is the greatest kaiju movie of all time. Bar none.
Where else can you find Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Anguirus, Minya, Spiega, Baragon, Gorosaurus, Manda, and Varan?? Only on Monster Island. And only in "Destroy All Monsters."
CGI has come a long way. The first twenty minutes of "The Host" are a testament to that fact. But I love the cheesy effects and blood, sweat and tears that went into the old school Godzilla movies. That wacky victory dance the man in the Godzilla suit does is priceless and it's the inspiration for all my moves on the dance floor.
