Forays into ActionScript

I keep liking ActionScript more as I’m working on it.  Still a little slower at problem-solving than I’d like, and I keep falling into the documentation cracks between simple things and more complicated tasks.  For example, starting a new project using a Main Controller construction isn’t really well documented, and there aren’t a lot of example of taking a project from start to doing something useful.  That makes it a bit difficult for me because I tend to learn best by looking at examples.  I’ll probably be setting up a quick tutorial on setting up a project to show how classes in the Flash IDE interact with files on the computer for other people like me.

Anyway, here is the UI skeleton  that I’ve done so far:



Not amazing, but I think it works well for what it’s going to do.  I’ll keep the progress updated here.
